10 France Favourites

​France is right on our doorstep with plenty of easy access and lots to offer, you can literally travel by plane, train or automobile.  From historic Normandy to the beautiful sunny coastline of the French Riviera there's masses to visit and enjoy.   Provence and Cote d’Azur typically attract most tourists but across this vast country there are many gems.  Pick the right destination and you’ll find something for everyone!

Here are some of our favourites places:

COULLIOURE - This pretty castle town is full of history where you can wander the cobbled streets, visit the weekly market and sample the scrummy seafood.

ARDECHE - The scenery around this area is breathtaking and there are plenty of opportunities to explore it by hiking, kayaking, canyoning, caving and much more.

HONFLEUR - Arty little harbour town great for mooching about the many galleries and gift shops. Wonderful restaurants and shopping too.

ARCACHON - This lively seaside town has swanky shopping, beautiful beaches and boat trips and is close to Dunes du Pilat, the biggest sand dunes in Europe. Even the adults can't resist rolling around in the sand here!

CORSICA - this beautiful island has miles of beautiful beaches, lovely towns and dramatic scenery.

LAKE ANNECY - Wonderful lakeside living with great cycling, hiking, and water sports.

CHAMBERY - beautiful town nestled in-between the lakes. Lac d'Aiguebelette is amazing with it's emerald water.

PRAZ-SUR-ARLY - great little skiing village. Wonderful slopes with amazing views and low key apres ski.

CEVENNES NATIONAL PARK - with mountains, rivers and valleys it's a wonderful place to enjoy France's beautiful nature. Also incredible star-gazing with little light pollution.

PARIS - the vibrant capital is bursting with famous landmarks, restaurants, galleries, museums and shops.
